Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that choosing a primary care physician is an important decision. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about membership-based medicine, insurance coverage, preventive care, obesity medicine, and what makes Radiant Health Professionals different.

Dr. Melissa Torres

Radiant Health Professionals is a membership-based primary care practice that combines the benefits of personalized, relationship-focused medicine with the convenience of using your health insurance.

Unlike traditional practices, we limit the number of patients we care for so we can provide longer appointments, easier access to your physician, and a greater focus on prevention and wellness.

While there are similarities, our practice is different from many traditional concierge practices.

Many concierge practices do not accept insurance and charge a membership fee that covers all primary care services.

At Radiant Health Professionals:

  • We accept most major insurance plans for covered medical services.
  • We charge an annual membership fee for enhanced services that insurance does not cover, such as extended visits, comprehensive wellness planning, advanced preventive screenings, care coordination, and enhanced physician access.

This allows patients to enjoy a more personalized healthcare experience while still using their insurance benefits.

Our annual membership is $2,250 per year and can be paid quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

The membership covers the enhanced services that make membership-based medicine unique, including extended visits, comprehensive wellness planning, direct physician access, preventive screenings, and care coordination.

Medical visits, labs, imaging, and procedures are billed to your insurance when appropriate.

Yes.

We accept many major insurance plans, including Medicare and several commercial insurance plans.

We are currently in network with:

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • UnitedHealthcare (Commercial Plans Only)
  • Traditional Medicare

We are also a non-network certified Tricare provider and can bill out-of-network for certain PPO plans.

Your insurance is billed for covered medical services just like a traditional primary care office. The membership fee is separate and pays for the enhanced access and personalized care that insurance does not cover.

Yes. We do take self-pay patients and offer discounted office visit rates.

  • Same- or next-business-day appointments for urgent needs
  • Longer, unhurried office visits
  • Annual comprehensive wellness examination
  • Advanced preventive health screenings
  • Direct communication with your physician
  • Care coordination with specialists

  • Chronic disease management
  • Lifestyle and nutrition counseling
  • Obesity medicine expertise
  • Integrative medicine approaches when appropriate

Unlike traditional primary care practices that may care for 2,000–3,000 patients, we intentionally limit our practice to approximately 300 patients.

This allows us to spend more time with each patient and provide truly personalized care.

Your comprehensive wellness visit includes an in-depth review of your health history, medications, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, exercise, and preventive care.

Depending on your individual needs, advanced preventive screenings may include:

  • Vision Screening
  • Hearing Screening
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG)
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
  • Body Composition Analysis
  • Grip Strength Testing
  • Walking Speed Assessment
  • Arterial Health Screening
  • Well Woman or Well Male Exam
  • Skin Cancer Screening

Together, we'll create a personalized health plan designed specifically for you.
